Sankt Nikolaus: Birth, Marriage and Death Records

The database consists of 5,810 birth records, 1,131 marriage records, and 4,644 death records from 1828 to 1895.

Sankt Nikolaus (Várszentmiklós) was also the official recording location for
- Großmürbisch (Nagymedves),
- Hasendorf (Vas-Nyulfalva, Zaitzfalu/Zaitzfalva),
- Kleinmürbisch (Kismedves),
- Krottendorf (Békafalu/Békafalva), and
- Punitz (Ponic/Ponitz) during this time.

In the records, fiú/fia/filius = son; filia/leanya = daughter; coelebs = unmarried; colona/colonus/jobbagy = farmer, zseller = home-owner craftsman/farmhand; inquilini = non-homeowner farmhand; vidua/viduus = widow(er); uxor(...)/conjux/consors/feleseg = spouse/wife; ex = from; domuncularius = homeowner.
