Another recipe from cookbook Recipes for the New Millennium (© 2000, Morris Press), subtitled "A Collection of Recipes from Former and Present Parishioners of Holy Ghost Church, Bethlehem, PA." This one is simplicity itself, unlike some of the yeast-raised varieties!

HUNGARIAN KIPFLES
(from Margaret Graf)

1 lb. (3 1/3 c.) flour 1 lb. butter
1 lb. cream cheese

Fillings: Lekvar (prune or apricot butter), apricot or cherry preserves, nuts

Preparation:
Put all ingredients in a large bowl and mix. Shape dough into small walnut-size balls and refrigerate until chilled. Roll balls by hand in powdered sugar then roll flat on board into small circles. Fill with a filling then hand roll into crescent shapes. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake until light brown and fluffy at 350°F for 20 minutes.
